Ashok HOKLOT wrote a letter to CM Bhajan Lal Sharma regarding irregularities in RTE and fee recharging scheme

Jaipur, April 20 (IANS). Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Herhlot wrote a letter to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma about the irregularities related to two important schemes related to education in the state. In the letter, he caught the government’s attention to the Law on the Law of Education (RTE) and the problems and complaints in “Chief Minister Balak Festival Recovery Scheme”. Gehlot wrote in the letter that the Law on the Law of Education (RTE), 2009, which guarantees free and compulsory education to children between 6 and 14 years, is a revolutionary law. This law gave the children of poor and middle -class families the opportunity to study in private schools. He said that during the congressional government ‘Indira Shakti Fee Recharge Scheme’ was implemented at the state level on the lines of this law, in which the fees of girls from the 9th to the 12th were renounced. After this, while expanding in Budget 2023-24, “Chief Minister Boys Festival Recharge Scheme” was launched, so that children can also gain the benefit of free education. The former chief minister claimed that the current government did not pay private schools under this scheme, giving schools no longer after the 8th class of admission to students. Gehlot said that a large number of poor and middle -class families are affected and that the education of children is disrupted. In the letter, Gehlot also mentioned that many private schools charge fees in uniforms, sports, extra curricular activities and other items of children allowed under RTE, while it is clearly a violation of the law. He insists that strict steps should be taken against such schools. Gehlot demanded from the government that the main minister’s Balak fee should be reactivated and that all students from the 9th to the 12th free education be assured. -Ians DSC/CBT Share this story Tags
