'Constitution will not, not religious decision', Sudhanshu Trivedi thunder on Waqf Bill in Rajya Sabha
New -Delhi, April 3 (IANS). BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi knocked out on Thursday during a discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha on the opposition. He said that all the serious work was done with the preparation of this bill, but that some people spread misunderstandings about its terms. Sudhanshu Trivedi pulls up and says: “The new Mulla -onion eats more, but here the old Mullah eats more well.” He asks why the Sunni Waqf Council and the Shia Waqf board differ in the country? Not only that, the WAQF board made the claim on the Taj Mahal. The BJP leader said the government is fully committed to the welfare of the Muslim society. He said: “This game is among those who believe in the development of society and among those who only do their interests. Our government is at a weak Muslim society, not with those who do the politics of radical voting bank.” Trivedi attacked the opposition, saying that some people are confused about the concept of ‘Umma’ (Islamic World Community) and that their expectations are now watered. He said, “First weigh it to talk about minorities and then work according to his agenda.” He has questioned the disposition of such people, “if they do not obey the law or the rules or the orders of the courts, it means that they see themselves in another world.” The BJP member said that the steps the government took was taken under the Constitution and in a fair way. He made a dig at the opposition and said, “When all the rights of the mughals were taken away at the time of British rule, now from Gujarat to Lucknow, where does the ownership of Waqf come from?” He said that WAQF was also claimed on Surat Municipal Corporation, which shows that attempts are made to keep the order of old rulers above the Constitution. He said: “The eradication of Zamindari was done in 1948, where did these new Zamindars come from? In the 2013 law, such arrangements were made that the land of the poor was taken to the waqf.” He mentioned it as a ‘Bhoomi movement’ instead of the Bhoodan movement of Vinoba Bhave. With the example, Sudhanshu Trivedi said: “Did any Christian community ever say that India Gate of Church Gate belongs to him? And how is it established?
