Jagran Bureau, New Delhi: The retail inflation rate of March reached 3.34 percent level with the support of the fall in vegetables, pulses and egg prices. This is the lowest since August 2019. Retail inflation was 3.61 percent in February this year.

In Telangana, the retail inflation rate has come to 1.06 percent and in Delhi to 1.48 percent.

Will RBI bank rates more deduction?

In view of the continuous softening trend in retail inflation, the bank rate is expected to cut the bank rate in the coming June. In March this year, the retail inflation rate of food items was 2.69 percent. This rate was 3.75 percent in February this year.

According to government data, vegetable prices in March this year recorded a decline of 7.04 percent in dal, 2.73 percent in pulses, 4.92 percent in spices and 3.16 percent in eggs. However, vegetation and edible oil prices increased by 17.07 percent compared to March last year.

Will inflation increase due to increasing heat?

Grain prices increased by 5.93 percent, 2.56 percent in milk and milk products, 3.89 percent in sugar and 16.27 percent in fruit.

According to Iqra’s chief economist Aditi Nair, the price of the early destroyed item may increase due to the increase in heat in the coming times, although the possibility of normal monsoon remains normal this year. He believes that in view of the current situation, the possibility of cutting the bank rate from RBI has increased considerably in the month of June.

Most inflation in Kerala-Karnatak

Kerala and Karnataka have the highest inflation in the country. At the national level, the retail inflation rate was 3.34 percent in the month of March, while in Kerala this rate was 6.59 percent and 4.44 percent in Karnataka. In Chhattisgarh and Jammu and Kashmir, retail inflation reached four percent level, it was 3.11 percent in Bihar, 3.81 percent in Haryana, 3.01 percent in Uttar Pradesh 3.01 percent in Uttarakhand, 2.08 percent in Jharkhand, 3.65 percent in Punjab and 3.12 percent in Madhya Pradesh.
