An initial list of speakers for the 10th anniversary Broadway Stage Management Symposium was unveiled. The annual educational intensive, open to the public, is designed for the growth of stage managers at all levels and experience. This year’s symposium will be held in New York on May 18-19.

The opportunity to attend is fully hybrid, with all sessions available on a dynamic digital platform. The symposium also provides complete repetition, access to all sessions, so that the participants are never concerned about the missing content. Participants can jump in and out of the online platform, and then look at their comfort and look again for up to five weeks.

The speakers of this year will include Jill cordle (The heritage, The ferry), Brandon Allmon-Jackson (Back to the future, A doll house), Tiffany N. Robinson (Mj the musical, The cher show), Norman Anthony Small (Leopoldstadt, American buffalo), Jereme Kyle Lewis (I need itNew York, New York), and more to be announced.

Whether students, young professionals, educators or experienced practitioners, all participants can gain insights and inspiration with the symposium’s opportunities for development, education and network. The conference also offers the BSMS Expo, which contains companies, products and services to support stage managers personally and professionally.

The Broadway Stage Management Symposium previously brought together participants from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Nigeria and more. Alumni of the symposium worked on numerous Broadway productions, including David Byrne’s American Utopia, Freestyle Love Supreme, Slave Play, King Kong, West Side Story, and My fair lady.

The symposium was founded by the experienced Broadway stage manager and educator Matthew Stern, who worked on more than 20 Broadway productions, including The lion king, Evil, The phantom of the opera, And more.
