CGTN recording: America's 'Mutual Rate' is condemned worldwide
Beijing, April 5 (IANS). The US announced its ‘Mutual Tariff’ scheme on Thursday. The survey conducted between CGTN’s global necessary NekCess shows that respondents strongly condemned the US for unilaterally threatening other countries on the pretext of ‘mutual tariff’, saying that the move from other countries could be repaid and eventually ‘tariff world war’, which could have a serious impact on the global economy. The US claims that it has suffered losses in international trade and increases rates on all business partners on the pretext of ‘mutuality’ with the aim of reducing the trade deficit. However, 81.03 percent of the global respondents do not agree with this, they believe that such measures will not achieve expected results. During Trump’s first term, he imposed rates on major trading partners. According to the Think Tank American Action Forum, Trump’s conservation policy lost about $ 57 billion during the first term annually. In the survey, 81.94 percent of respondents believe that ‘mutual rates’ cannot solve America’s problems, but will only damage the interests of US consumers and will decline the growth of the US economy. The recording was released on CGTN’s English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian platforms. Within 24 hours, a total of 9,600 foreign netizens participated in the survey and expressed their opinion.
