Weapons repaired from civic shelter sites in Gaza: IDF

Tel Aviv, December 24 (IANS). The Israeli Army (IDF) on Sunday claimed to have restored the state of the -Art and traditional weapons from a civilian residential area in Gaza. The IDF said in a statement that the 261st Brigade soldiers recovered weapons of a building where the citizens in North Gaza took shelter. The IDF said the building is located near a school. Apart from this, there is a mosque and a clinic. The IDF claims, “Soldiers found adaptable explosive belts for children. Dozens of mortars, pomegranates and intelligence documents have also been restored.” The IDF said it had attacked at least 200 locations in Gaza over the past few days. The IDF said: “In the north of Gaza, the soldiers of the Yekbah brigade have identified several terrorist operations coming from the building used by Hamas for monitoring.” The IDF said that the soldiers of the Kefir Brigade in Khan Younis in southern Gaza attacked the Hamas headquarters, which found weapons, including dozens of pomegranates and explosive equipment. During the temporary ceasefire of a week between Hamas and Israel from November 24 to December 1, Hamas released 105 hostages, while 129 hostages are still in Hamas’ captivity.
