Directorate of unrecognizable schools in the state strictly
The Directorate of School Education (DSE) has issued instructions to the officials to investigate districts and identify such educational institutions, so that it can be acted under the RTE Act, while they can be unauthorized in the field of educational institutions. The DSE has issued instructions against private schools, play schools and remedial classes offered without permission in a letter to all district education officers of Haryana and District Basic Education Officers (Deeo). An official from the education department said it was revealed that some schools were running without recognition, which is a violation of the law. Class 1 to 5 is offered in play schools against rules in urban areas, while some non-governmental organizations and establishment offer remedial classes such as ordinary schools. Officials have been instructed to ensure that no non-recognized schools are operated, that at school time students of Class 1 to 5 should be done in play school, and the therapeutic classes offered during school hours must be discontinued. Officers were also asked to move students from such schools to nearby government schools. Deeo Sudhir Kalra said that earlier 40 such primary and middle schools were identified in the district, the steps of which were taken against 19 schools and closed unauthorized classes and schools. The remaining 20 schools are either play schools, or their case is pending at the Directorate. Another school was instructed to close unauthorized classes, otherwise a complaint from the police will be filed. Meanwhile, the spokesman for Haryana Progressive Schools (HPSC), Saurabh Kapoor, said that the Directorate has issued orders against schools that are managed in an unauthorized way and HPSC also welcomes the move. All schools must follow the rules. But at the same time, action must also be taken against private coaching centers carried out during the school hours against the rules and of the department.
