To say it was a disastrous Indian Premier League campaign for the Sunrisers Hyderabad is an underestimation. The Hyderabad franchise is currently in 9th place in the IPL standings with 6 points out of their 9 matches. And with IPL 2025 on the way to the business, a chance for a play -off match is anything but unreachable for the 2016 IPL champions, with 5 games remaining. However, owner Kavya Maran does not give up the dream. IPL 2025 Playoff chances in a post on X, Maran wrote: ‘Even if there is 1% chance. Chances are good enough. Let’s look. ‘ This was in response to another post that set out the chances of setting out the IPL 2025 play -off matches for each team. The original post, made by user @mufaddal_vohra, listed the play -off chances of each team as follows: RCB – 91%. GT – 79%. DC – 76%. MI – 65%. PBKS – 60%. LSG – 21%. KKR – 6%. SRH – 2%. RR ~ 0.2%. CSK ~ 0.04% as can be seen above, the chances of SRH be up to the play -offs, a small 0.2%. However, the owner of the team is optimistic despite the ominous signs. The Maldive in the mid-season breaks after winning a comfortable 5-wicket win against CSK on April 25, and the entire SRH contingent got away to the Maldives. The team is in the tropical paradise for a ‘retreat’ halfway through the IPL 2025 season, as the players and staff want to rejuvenate before the last few games in IPL 2025. SRH was able to enjoy themselves with a holiday because they have a week-long break before their next game. They then play the Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad, on May 2.
