NEIDA, MAY 31 (IANS). According to the instructions of the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner and under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of the Police, a special campaign was carried out by the traffic police on Saturday. Its purpose was to ward off those who violated traffic safety rules. During the campaign, the traffic police made manual invoices of 2,964 drivers violating the rules, while 3.612 vehicles were challenged by the modern IstMS camera system. Thus, 6.576 e-Challan was issued in total. In addition, 33 vehicles were also seized that violated the rules. Special attention was paid to four main types of violations under the special campaign-a two-wheeler driver, vehicle parked in no parking space, vehicles in the opposite direction and vehicles entering the gene entrance. According to the campaign data, Challans was issued in a total of 2,671 cases of driving without helmet vehicles. At the same time, the challenge was taken at 254 cases of driving in the opposite direction and 441 vehicles parked in the gene parking area. In addition, 12 vehicles were seized that work during the deadline of no access. Under the guidelines issued by the police commissioner, this campaign was conducted to streamline the traffic system in the city and to reduce the possibilities of road accidents. Police believe that such ongoing campaigns will raise awareness among ordinary citizens over traffic rules and that people will be motivated to follow the rules. The traffic police called on the citizens to use helmets, follow the rules of no park and no access and respect traffic signals to make the city roads safe and organized. The transport department is strictly taking up against overloaded vehicles in Gautam Budh Nagar. In this succession, in May, the transport department identified 146 overload vehicles and challenged them and seized in Badlapur and Sector-62. During this, a challenge fee of a total of 70 lakh was charged 40 thousand rupes. -Ians pkt/bag/aques share this story tags
