Kailash Mansarovar Yatra-2025 is held from June to August: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
New -Delhi, April 26 (IANS). The Foreign Ministry formally announced the ‘Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025’ on Saturday. The journey will be held from June to August 2025. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is known for its religious value and cultural importance. If it is important for Hindus as the dwelling of Lord Shiva, it also has religious significance for Jains and Buddhists. According to the Foreign Ministry, applications are accepted at KMY.gov.in website. Since the year 2015, the process ranging from online application to the choice of passengers has been completely computerized. This year, 5 groups (50 passengers in each) will travel by crossing the Lipulekh Pass of Uttarakhand and 10 group (50 passengers in each) that crosses Nathu La Pass of Sikkim state. Passengers will be selected by a fair process by the Foreign Ministry and they will be awarded different routes and groups. Through the computerized process, passengers will not change the route and group. However, if necessary, the selected passengers may request a change in the group. This change can only be made if empty space is available. The decision of the ministry in this case will be final. Earlier, the Minister of Trade in the trade union and the Minister of Industry, Piyush Goyal, ensured on Friday that the Amarnath Yatra would run smoothly despite the Pahalgam terror attack, which is expected to begin from July 3 this year. Despite the attack, Goyal expressed confidence that tourism in Kashmir would resume soon. He said that no one could remove Kashmir from his development path. -Ians mk/ share this story tags
