Hearts Melt at How Lamb Reacts to Poodle: ‘So Cute’ – ryan
A lamb has melted hearts across the internet after mistaking a poodle for another lamb.
Shelly Faye (@shellyfayex) shared adorable footage from England’s Lake District of the lamb running up to the black poodle, Aurora, in a video which garnered 42,700 likes and 429,900 views.
“Not everyday you see this, Aurora was not impressed, so cute!” Shelly captioned the video.
In the clip, the curious little lamb enthusiastically approaches Aurora, who is calmly standing on a leash. The lamb then circles the dog as the women behind the camera coo over the moment. Despite the lamb’s friendly approach, the poodle doesn’t seem overly impressed with its new admirer, who “baa-ed” loudly before galloping away.
The sociable lamb also appeared to enjoy the attention from its human audience, basking in the affection and excitement.
While the video is undeniably charming, it also highlights an interesting aspect of animal behavior. According to WagWalking, dogs and sheep can coexist peacefully, particularly when dogs are properly socialized. Herding breeds like border collies are often used to manage flocks, but even non-herding dogs can get along with sheep if introduced safely and supervised.
As for the lamb itself, it’s worth noting that lambs are simply young sheep, typically under a year old. According to Mississippi State University Extension, lambs weigh between 8 and 12 pounds and are more docile than their older counterparts.
TikTokers were quick to flood the comments with emotional and humorous reactions. Many admitted the video tugged on their heartstrings and even made them rethink their diets.
“And this is why I cannot eat lamb,” said one user.
“Sometimes I really feel bad for being a meat eater,” shared another.

“Stoppp baby sheep are so cute,” shared another viewer.
“Your dog is so well behaved with the lamb,” said one user.
“They are the cutest most innocent little things,” said another viewer.
“Awww, this happened to me last week on a walk through the fields. Our dog is a little black shihpoo. It was soooo cute,” shared another user.
