The impact shows in the results of the IT sector, not just because of the tariff of AI and US President Trump: Sridhar Vambu

New -Delhi, April 18 (IANS). The founder of Joho, Sridhar Wambu, said on Friday that India’s influence on the results of Information Technology (IT) businesses is not only the reason for artificial intelligence (AI) and US President Donald Trump, but it is also the result of the product industry’s product and unknown. In a post on social media platform X, Wambu said: “My operational thesis: What we see is not just a cycle swing and it doesn’t just relate to AI. There were problems, even without tariff security. There was a lot of fault in both the products and services.” Vambu said: “Unfortunately, we have accepted many inefficiencies in India. Our work has become dependent on them. The IT industry has eliminated the talents that could have been better for manufacturing and infrastructure.” He added: “We are in the early stage of a long calculation at the moment. I believe that the next 30 years have not been good guides for the past 30 years. We are really on a critical turn. We need to challenge our beliefs and think fresh.” The Indian IT businesses Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Infosys and Wipro announced their fourth quarter and financial results this week and delivered a poor attitude, causing disappointment in the market. IT enterprises are stuck with rates, which have delayed new orders and project detection. One of India’s leading IT businesses, Infosys, recorded a 11.7 percent drop on its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, which stood in FY 2025 at Rs 7,033 crore in the same quarter of last year. However, Infosys’ turnover rose by about 8 percent to Rs 40,925 crore year -on -year, while in the same period of a year ago it was Rs 37.923 crore. The company recorded an operating margin of 21 percent, slightly lower than the margin of 21.3 percent of the previous quarter, but is more than 20.1 percent from the same quarter a year ago. -Ians skt/abm
