Jammu and Kashmir: Drug-related property seized on Shopian, Big Action of Anti-Narcotics Task Force

Shopian, July 1 (IANS). Jammu’s anti-Narcotic task force and Kashmir took major steps by seizing drug trafficking in the Vachi town in the Shopian district. The action was done in terms of section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act, 1985. Antf attached 41 Marla country of Wachi resident Mohammad Yakub Bhat based on reliable information and to legal processes. This land was registered under measles number 2301/1051, Khevan number 204, Mutazine number 1436/01 and 1544. The action was submitted under the fir at the police station Antf Jammu. Investigation revealed that the property was purchased with illegal money earned from drug trafficking. The ANTF placed the notice of attachment on the property and was officially confiscated. Mohammad Yakub Bhat was prevented from selling, renting or transferring this property. The ANTF also warned the general public not to involve any transactions associated with this property. This action is part of the strict policy of ANTF against drug trafficking in Jammu and Kashmir. The task group said that such actions are needed to break the financial network of drug mafia. According to the task force, it is a strict warning to the people involved in the drug trafficking that their illegal earnings will not be spared.
