Jakarta is the host of the WAMSB World Championships followed by 36 march ties

Jakarta – The World Association of the 2025 World Championships Marching Band World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) is officially opened at Jakarta International Velodrome, East Jakarta. This event was attended by 36 march groups from the house and abroad. The chairman of Tuif as well as the 2025 WAMSB event director Fanny Fatriani Syarifudin Alambay said there were six groups from abroad, such as Poland, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand. While 30 other bands come from different regions in Indonesia. “It is divided from different categories, ranging from Junior Elementary School, Senior High School, to open more than 19 years,” said Fanny on Saturday (9/8/2025) in Velodrome, East Jakarta. Browse to continue with Content Photos: World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) World Championships 2025 Fanny explained that WAMSB is an international march group in Canada and that since 1996 the World Championships are regularly host of the central government and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. “Thank you to all parties, especially the central government by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the DKI Jakarta provincial government, Kadispora, Kormi, and everyone who supports the success of this event,” he said. Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta People’s Welfare Assistant (Askesra), Ali Maulana Hakim, said this event is a great honor for Jakarta. Because Jakarta has to wait until 68 years to offer. “To visit to be a host, it waits 68 years. It’s extraordinary because the scale is international,” Ali said. Ali hopes that events like WAMSB can be a positive forum for the younger generation to be creative and develop their artistic abilities. “In addition to teaching and learning activities, music and art activities can be a positive choice, which keeps children of drugs, violence and brawls,” he said. Ali added, the implementation of WAMSB 2025 was also in line with the vision of the DKI Jakarta governor Pramono Anung to make Jakarta a global city. “Our standards are no longer cities in Indonesia, but the big cities of the world. Global does not mean eliminating our cultural arts, it becomes a sales power to introduce culture to the world,” he added. (Call/Zap)
