Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the new “Aadhaar app” on Tuesday, April 8. This app combines Face ID verification and artificial intelligence (AI) to bring the digital Aadhaar service to Indian citizens through a mobile application. The Government of India, in collaboration with the Unique Identification Authority of India (Uidai), has launched the mobile application to remove the need to carry a physical Aadhaar card or photocopies of the same during travel in the country. ‘It is not necessary to hand over Aadhaar photography at hotel reception, shops or during travel. The Aadhaar app is safe and divisible only with the consent of the user, “Trade Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said in his post on platform X. The digital Aadhaar move of the Indian government wants to make the Aadhaar verification process as simple, which can use people digitally while securing privacy. Aadhaar -App According to the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the government intends to empower Aadhaar number holders through the application, enabling them to “digitally share the data” and have complete control over their personal information. The new Aadhaar DAP also allows digital verification by scanning a QR code, which replaces the need to obtain physical photocopies of your Aadhaar card. Uidai focused on the private privacy factor, together with the implementation of the “Aadhaar Face Authentication” technology. “Now with just a tap, users can only share the necessary data, giving them complete control over their personal information -the new Aadhaar app (in beta test phase),” Vaishnaw said in his post.
