PG student of Aiims Raipur committed suicide, wrote in the note 'work pressure, insomnia, sorry'
Police said on Monday that a 26 -year -old student of postgraduate forensic medicine in Aiims Raipur allegedly committed suicide at his rented home in Kabir Nagar, Raipur. The student was identified as Dr. A. Ravi Kumar, who hangs on the roof of his room on Saturday afternoon. Officials said that a small suicide letter was recovered from the place, which wrote only three words: “Work pressure, insomnia, apology.” Kumar, who was originally a Hyderabad resident, entered MD Forensic Medicine Course in Aiims Raipur in 2023 after completing his MBBS. According to police, the incident was discovered when his roommate and classmate found the room from the inside. He informed others and called the police when he received no response to repeated beats. A case of accidental death was registered and the body was handed over to the family after the Post -Mortem. Police said further investigation was underway. A spokesman for Aiims Raipur confirmed that Kumar had recently returned on leave. When the officer was asked about the alleged work pressure, the officer said that the suicide letter was with the police and that the institute would wait for the result of the investigation before commenting further.
