Infarga: Chile acquires a quarter of global copper production

Chile is at the top of the list of countries most produced for buyer worldwide, as production reached 5.3 million tonnes last year, representing 23% of world production, according to the data of the American Geological Survey. The Democratic Congo was second with a production of 3.3 million tonnes in 2024, or about 14% of the world’s production. Peru and China occupied the third and fourth ranks as they obtained two sessions of 11% and 8% of global production respectively. According to the data, the total production of the buyer of buyer reached 23 million tonnes last year, and these four countries have taken over more than half of the global production.
