In the Red Sea, Houthi rebels targeted the Indian oil tanker: US Army

New -delhi, December 24 (IANS). The US Army said on Saturday that an Indian flag -RU tanker was attacked by a drone fired by Houthi terrorists in the South Lal -Sea. He said no one was injured in the attack. The US central commando said in a post on X, M/V Saibaba Tanker reported at about 8am that it was attacked with a drone, after which the US Navy Destroyer USS Laboon (DDG58) responded to its call. The Destroyer ship of the US Navy then patrols the southern Red Sea between 15 to 20:00 local time. The central command said: “Two ballistic missiles against Hawthi were fired from the Halty-controlled areas of Yemen in the Southern Red Sea in the Southern Red Sea.” The ship reported that ballistic missiles had no influence on it. According to the Post, the USS Labon also killed four unmanned aerial air drones coming from the Hothee-controlled areas in Yemen, to the American ship. The central assignment said: “These attacks have been the 14th and 15th attack on commercial shipping by Houthi terrorists since October 17.” Ships in the Red Sea fall prey to the attack of rebels in Iran since the war in Israeli-Hamas on October 7. The Houthi rebels announced their support to Hamas, saying that they would target any ship going to Israel. In response, the US operation Prosperity Guardian launched for the safety of ships and supported countries, including the UK, Canada, France, Bahrain, Norway and Spain.
