Way German Shepherd Puppy Drinks Their Water Has Internet in Stitches – ryan
A dog owner recently shared a video of her puppy’s unusual way to drink water from his bowl, and internet users can’t cope with it.
The viral clipshared on TikTok on Friday, under the username @jenniferharris107, shows the small German shepherd dipping his nose into his water bowl and then dragging his head around, leaving a wet trail on the floor all around him.
“Franco! What is wrong with you today? What are you doing?” the poster can be heard saying to him, as the pup continues with his shenanigans unfazed.
“This sweet child of mine testing the waters today… literally,” she writes in the caption.
Puppies can be a handful, making a mess out of your house with their uncontrollable bursts of energy, but once you train them right, things will be much easier for both of you.
Not only will training have the dog respond to requests, such as stay, sit and come, but it will also keep your pup stimulated, and will help use up their energy throughout the day, says British animal charity Blue Cross.
Because dogs learn by association, rewarding them with a treat or praise for their good behavior is essential to make training more efficient and also more appealing to them.
When training your pup, it is also crucial that you don’t physically or verbally punish them in any way. Not only do they not understand punishments, but it will make them afraid of you, and could even jeopardize your bond.
Georgia-based veterinarian Dr. Jess Kirk says in a Vet Exaplains Pets article that using positive reinforcement instead is much more effective on our fur-babies, and can even help strengthen our bond with them.

The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 4.3 million views and 296,400 likes on the platform.
One user, Lilychiang12, commented: “Now I know why my dog trainer said German shepherds and doodles are the hardest dogs to train. They know exactly what they should and shouldn’t do and will choose what they shouldn’t do.”
Hans & Co said: “Professional water tester. I trust him. He looks like he knows what he’s doing.”
“God forbid a puppy have a hobby,” Susan Hughes added.
