More than 47 lakh -quintal of wheat arrivals in Karnal Mandis

With a steady increase in temperature, wheat crop in the Karnal district is in full swing, where about 40% of the crops have already been harvested. Farmers work for a long time in the scorching sun and use a combination crop and manual labor to bring weather products. Dr. Wazir Singh, Deputy Director of Agriculture (DDA), said: “While the temperature is rising, the farmers have accelerated the harvest of wheat. They are advised to dry the crop well and clean the crop before bringing it to the mandis.” Pradeep Singh, a farmer from Manjura Village, said: “The weather is at its peak, and we find it difficult to get a combination crop in time due to a great demand.” According to the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB), a total of 47,24,239 quintal wheat came to Karnal Grain Mandis until April 15, which is much higher than 28,01,307 on the same day last year. From this, 41.58.511 quintal was purchased by agencies and private buyers. However, the recording of the purchased stock is slow, so far only 14.37.548 quintal has been removed from the basket. Anil Kumar, district food and supplies controller (DFSC), said: “The purchase is running smoothly, but we asked the transport contractors to speed up the upliftment not to allow any more goods.” Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said that all arrangements were made. “Mandi secretaries have been instructed to provide all facilities to the market secretaries. We ensure quickly,” he said. He urged the Boers to follow their scheduled time and to prevent stubble. He said: “In -time arrivals ensure smooth purchases. Also avoid burning the remains -use sustainable management methods instead.” Share this story -Tags
