Minister ATR Nusron has asked the regional government to free BPHTB for extreme poor people

Jakarta – Commission II of the Indonesian Parliament held a work meeting (Raker) with the Minister of Agrarian matters and spatial planning/head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid. Nusron explained the achievement of land registration until April 2025 approached the target. “In the case of land registration, the total performance of soil registration until April 2025, which is 121.64 million in the fields, or 94.4% of the target of 126 million in certified land fields and achievements reached 94.1 million in the country or 74.7%,” Nusron said in his presentation at Commission II of the Indonesian Parliament, Central Jakarta, Monday (21/4/2025). Nusron said his party had obstacles to land registration outside Java. He appreciates the governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa has released the right of the land and building rights (BPHTB) to complete systematic land registration (PTSL) for extreme poor people. He asked members of the Indonesian parliament to socialize it in their respective election districts. He hopes that more regional governments will release BPHTB for extreme poor people to speed up the land registration process. “Now we will socialize it and ask us for help to ladies and gentlemen in every election district, we have transferred the time of PTSL receivers -hawks, especially those of extreme poor people, if it can get two freedoms,” Nusron said. He said the release of BPHTB will help people. He also believes that this can speed up the land data collection. “So there are 20% of their own map certificates mapped in the number of fields, but could not certify PTSL receivers because they cannot pay BPHTB,” Nusron said. He said that he has so far communicated with a number of regional heads. He hopes that more and more regions are liberating BPHTB. “We emphasized the meeting with the Governor of Western Java. We will transfer the meeting with the Governor in Central Sulwesi yesterday, we will also transfer the same steps next week,” he said.
