JAMMU-KASHMIR: Armed forces Large-scale preparation for the former serviceman day!
JAMMU NEWS DESK !!! The Indian Army will celebrate Veterans Day on January 14 to pay tribute to former senior military staff/officers in honor of their services for the country. The armed forces are celebrated in memory of the services celebrated by Field Marshal KM Cariappa, the first Indian commander of the armed forces, who retired on January 14, 1953, to honor the sacrifice of veterans serving the country. In this regard, a series of programs started from the first week of December in Jammu and Kashmir. Several programs are organized in the areas near international borders to commemorate the former January 14 Service Day, in which a large number of senior citizens participate. In these events, daily problems, pension issues, etc. Discussed and resolved from former senior military personnel. To resolve the issues of old service, the army arranged a rally and medical outreach campaign of Ex -service man at Shaheedgarh Fort in the Rajouri district. The rally was attended by approximately 550 ex -servicemen, including 350 ESMs associated with a large part of the population of Darhal, Naushera and surrounding areas. Several facilities are set up to correct the complaints and issues of ex -servicemen and to distribute updated information on different policy of the state and the central government affecting them.
