Avoid the crook or yell at the child’s tantrums. Stay calm and ignore it for some time. There may be some reason behind the child’s tantrum. Is he tired, hungry, or is he angry with something? Try to understand his feelings. Tell the child that you understand his feelings. It will help him acknowledge his feelings. If the child insists on something, then give him an option. Take the attention of the child to something else. Tell him to play a game, tell a story or include it in a fun activity. Explain the child clearly what is acceptable and what is not.
