The art site had a special dialogue with Rania Issa, in which she talked about her embodiment of the role of “divination” in the movie “Keys”, about the success of the series “Self”, and on other topics.

Tell us more about your participation in the movie “Keys”, which tells a somewhat unfamiliar and new story.

When I received the text, I felt that the idea was new, and this is what excited me to participate in the work, and the idea of ​​adventure that I live in the text events, and the reincarnation of many characters, was also a great motivation for me to participate, but I was afraid at the beginning because the production company is new and the director is new, but the work was very beautiful. The actor Jad Abu Ali is an ambitious and beautiful young man, and I was very happy to cooperate with him, and there is a great chemistry between us, and this film is the second cooperation between us, after the series “The life of School”, in which she embodied the role of his teacher, and I also got acquainted with this series on Carla Merhi, which also participated in the movie “Keys”.

We see a beautiful spread of Lebanese drama, as well as for the Lebanese theater, which delays the prosperity of Lebanese cinema?

What delays the prosperity of Lebanese cinema is the economic conditions in Lebanon, in addition to the security and political conditions, since 2019 until now, cinema unfortunately, except for the presence of platforms that provide the viewer to go to the cinema, and can follow the acting works from the house, but of course there are people who still prefer to go to the cinema, so every Lebanese must start from himself, encourage the film industry in his country, and watch Movies until the producers are encouraged.

What made you enjoy the embodiment of the role of divination more than others in the movie?

With regard to the character “Yaqout”, it was a new role for me, and he had a large space, which allowed me to give from the “Rania” character at work, and to add to the text and the character my own flavor, which gave the character a special character, in addition to her looks and accessories that she adopts, “Yaqout” formed with me a special case that I cannot return at any time.

Some of the comments criticized the story and how to address it, what is your response?

The story is distinctive and strange, and it talks about its sins and its jinn, and of course, there are those who will not show interest in such a kind of stories, as this is personal freedom.

We congratulate you on the success of the series “Self”, are you satisfied with the end of the “Thuraya” character?

I am satisfied with the end of the “Thuraya” character, I was very happy with what happened with her, and its end should be happy as happened at work, a person should not live in the past and remain stuck in it, or that he lives his life while he was waiting for the unknown, the human being must have dreams and aspirations, and he must be more realistic, and that the marriage of “Thuraya” from “Naguib”, who embodied the role of the Lebanese actor and the Medal of Sabbagh, I am affectionate and interested, it was satisfactory.

How do you describe cooperation with the Lebanese actress Daniela Rahma? Was he convinced to embody the role of her aunt?

This is not the first time that I met Daniela, we previously participated together in the series “Al -Awda”, and we gathered direct scenes, in addition to our participation together in the series “Sons of Adam”, which is a nice person, and working with her is easy.
As for embodying the role of her aunt, this is normal, and we find it in many families, as the aunt and the daughter of her brother are close to two years, and the character did not require that there be a difference between us, as we were like two friends, and I was trying to help her in her love story.

What about the dualism that I presented with the actor Wissam Sabbagh?

When I entered the art world, I participated in the “Dabir” theater, and I got acquainted directly on the Medal of Sabbagh, almost 20 years ago, a professional medal and close to the heart, so we are friends, although a long time has passed since our last work. I was very happy with our work together in the series “Self”, and we were always with one heart and one spirit, and we wanted to present together a successful duo.

What did you follow from work in the last Ramadan season? Is it possible to give the award for the best series for a Ramadan series?

We were late to start filming the series “Self”, because of the events that Lebanon witnessed, so we were filming the series during its presentation, so I was unable to follow many series, but I watched some episodes of “Blood”, and I want to watch “Ish”, “Under the Seventh Land” and “the hero”. As for the prizes, I deserve a sure prize and the series as well.

What is your message to your father after a year since his death? What has changed you after his departure?

I can say that I am harder. The family tree that we know, is made up of a father, mother and children, whenever a branch is broken from this tree, you feel that it is no longer as beautiful as it was. I do not want to be pessimistic, but when I lost my brother 4 years ago, a part of me was broken, and when I lost my father, another part was broken, I no longer feel the pleasure of life, I live every day with his day, but life will go. I have children I have to stand on their side, rejoice in their joy, and I seek to achieve their dreams.

Will we watch you within the series to be shown in the coming period?

I recently finished filming the series and the film, and I am waiting for the appropriate shows, if it is from the Arabized Turkish series, or the Lebanese series.
