This scheme to provide more jobs for the youth was announced last year in the July budget, but it will now begin from August 15, 2025. Earlier, it was approved in a cabinet meeting led by the Prime Minister on July 1, 2025. PM Modi said this while addressing the country during the Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi said that ‘today brought a good news for youth, and that the employment scheme of India is being implemented from today. In which 15 thousand rupees will be given by the government to the boys and girls who get the first work in the private sector. During this time, incentives will also be given to all the businesses that will collect and give more jobs. This incentive amount will be given in two installments, under the scheme, this incentive amount will be given to the youth in two installments. In this, the first installment is given in six months after getting the job, while the second installment will be given after completing twelve months of work. To encourage a savings habit, a part of this amount will be held in a savings account or savings investment for a certain period and the employee can withdraw it later. The registration of EPFO will be done for the first time, the youth with work will be identified by the registration of EPFO. Out of the three and a half crore lanes created under the scheme in two years, about 1.92 beneficiaries will find work for the first time for the first time. The benefit of this will apply in the private sector to employment created between August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2027. Those who get more than one lakh salary will not get this benefit, those who get more than one lakh salary will not get this benefit. The employees who were appointed under the scheme for the first time will have made this payment in DBT mode by Aadhaar. At the same time, the payment to employers will be made directly in their pan-linked bank accounts. In the scheme, the focus on employers together with the youth is also in two parts of the PM developed Indian employment scheme, where the first part is focused on youth with employment, while the second part focuses on employers. During this period, employers who have given more consecutive months will receive a three -thousand rupee per month on each additional employees for two years. Although this incentive amount will be increased for the third and fourth year for the employers of the manufacturing sector. Institutions will have to appoint five additional employees, during this period, with less than fifty registered employees registered in EPFO, will have to hire at least two additional employees for six months and appoint more than fifty employees to appoint at least five additional employees for six months.
