New -delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) intends to launch hot air balloon rides within the next two months. The locations where hot air balloon rides will start are Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games Sports Complex, Asita and Baanera Park. Each day, four hours of flying time is allowed, with the aim of promoting ecotourism and displaying Delhi’s natural beauty and air perspective of the national capital. The agency will get 3600 m² (60×60 m) of space on each area for operating the hot air balloons and start in 2 months. The project has been assigned for three years, which can be extended to a period of a maximum of 9 years. The most important locations covered are Asita (Green Zone), Baanera Bamboo Park at the Yamuna Riverfront development, Yamuna sports complex (Surajmal vihar) and the Commonwealth Games Sports Complex (built for the 2010 CWG).
