Haryana: A youth that spies for Pakistan from Kaithal

Kaithal, May 16 (IANS). A shocking case came to light from the Kaithal district of Haryana, where 25 -year -old Devendra Singh Dhillon, a resident of Village Mastgarh, was arrested for the spying for the Pakistan’s intelligence agency (ISI). Kaithal Superintendent of Police (SP) Aastha Modi said the accused went to Pakistan in November last year via Kartarpur Corridor, where he came into contact with Pakistani intelligence officers. According to police, arrested youth Devendra Singh is a student of MA (political science) at Khalsa College, Patiala, Punjab and sent photos of sensitive information related to the country’s military activities, especially Patiala Military Cantt. In return, he got a large amount of Pakistan for fun. Devendra was arrested on May 12 when he posted photos with pistols and guns on his Facebook. During interrogation, it was revealed that he was spying for Pakistan. Police confiscated the cellphone of the accused and were sent for forensic investigation. His bank accounts are also being investigated to find out how much money he received in exchange for information. SP Aastha Modi said the accused was produced in court and again took the police custody so that more information could be collected. It is striking that a young man named Nauman Elahi of Panipat in Haryana was also arrested for the spying for a Pakistani agency. He used to work as a security guard earlier and used them to get money in the accounts of his brother -in -law and company manager in exchange for information. In addition, two suspected detectives were also arrested under Punjab under ‘Operation Sindoor’.
