It is entirely possible that Jim cummings may be referring to new lines and scenes he might have recorded for the upcoming updates to smuggler’s runs that will tie in with The Mandalorian & Grogu. However, there is also a chance that dogo could appear in the movie itself. The upcoming feature does SEEM LIKE A VERY ALIEN-CENTER Star Wars movie, with the movie’s cast of character including Grogu, zeb from Star Wars: Rebelsand Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt. Hondo would undoubtedly fit in with The Mandalorian & Grogu‘s aesthetic.

It’s sort of ironic that esteemed voice actor Jim cummings’ Only Live-Action Performance is in Comic Book: The Movie.
It is also possible that cummings could reprise his role as Hondo in Ahsoka Season 2. The character has a history with many members of the ghost crew from Star Wars Rebelsspecifically Ezra Bridger, who has finally returned from another galaxy. Hondo Also Crossed Paths With Ahsoka Tano Many Times During The Clone WarsMaking him the Perfect character to appear in Season 2.
While it is doubtful Hondo will appear in Andor, he might show up sooner rather than later, as he could play a role in the animated short series Tales of the Underworld. The Star Wars Animated Series will feature two three-episode blocks focusing on bounty hunters asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. While dogo is a space pirate, he does have a great deal of overlap with the bounty hunter community. With Hondo’s Long Life in the Star Wars Galaxy, he could theoretically factor into Several Projects, including Shawn Levy’s Planned Star Wars Film, Simon Kinberg’s New Trilogy, or the Mythical Donald Glover Lando Movie that remains shrouded in secrecy. Wherver dogo appears, it certainly will be a welcome one, if he has always been a welcome addition to any Star Wars Story.
