The chairman of the MPR meets the ambassador of Jordan-Mesir and discusses Palestinian independence

Jakarta – Ahmad Muzani, chairman of the MPR RI, received Egyptian ambassador Yasser Hassan Farag Elshemy and the ambassador of Kingdom Hasyimiyah Jordan in Indonesia Sudqi in his home, Jakarta. This meeting discussed the struggle for Palestinian independence that is still being chased. The meeting took place on Tuesday (8/3). Muzani said Jordan and Egypt expressed their gratitude for the dedication of Indonesia’s support to Palestine so far. “It was said that the support of Indonesia was very important to Palestine. Because Jordan was the person in charge of all Quds and the Al Aqso Mosque. Neither Egypt said that Indonesia’s support and assistance went to Palestinians by Egypt,” Muzani said in a press release on Wednesday (9/4/2025). Browse to continue the content, Muzani explains that the struggle of the Palestinian people should have full support and appreciated. He said that the struggle that has run for decades would not be damaged by radical actions of groups that contribute only to the burden of the struggle. “It was transferred by the ambassador of Jordan and Egypt that the struggle of the Palestinian people was so far full of patience and sincerity. But the struggle was actually damaged by radical groups whose actions received negative reactions from Israel in the form of attacks,” Muzani explained. “This is what our brothers are concerned about, the existence of an impatient group, so it uses radical extreme methods that can actually harm the struggle and only aggravate the situation. And that’s what Israel hopes,” he added. On that occasion, Muzani emphasized that the attitude of the Indonesian government led by President Prabowo Subianto would not shift. He emphasized that for a long time, and so, Indonesia would remain committed to supporting Palestinian sovereignty and independence. “For the Indonesian government, for President Prabowo, the support of Indonesia for our brothers in Palestine is not only motivated by the same belief, but more than that, namely the matter of humanity. The support of Indonesia for the Palestinian struggle for independence in his own country must be realized,” Muzani said.
