'Pakistanis will die without water': BJP -LP Nishikant Dubey on India suspending Indus water treaty to Pahalgam Attack | Today news
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) LP Nishikant Dubey on Wednesday made the government’s decision to suspend more than six decades-old Indus water treaty in light of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, saying that Pakistanians will die without water. The decision to suspend Indus Water Treaty, together with several other measures, was taken in the Cabinet Committee for Security Safety (CCS) under the chairmanship of Premier Narendra Modi, after 26 people were killed in the AA terror attack that caused wide distributed. The CCS decided that the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 would be held immediately with a view, until Pakistan rejected its support for border-crossing terrorism credibly and irrevocably. In response, in a post in Hindi on X, Dubey said that “Today Modi Ji stopped the food and water. Pakistanians will die without water, this is the 56-inch breast. Hookah, water, food will be stopped. We are workers of Sanatani BJP, we will kill them after they are tortured.” Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said the decisions of the CCS, after the horrific terror attack on Hindus, paved the way for a decisive response against Pakistan and his puppets. “Bharat is confident that justice will be delivered under the guidance of Premier Narendra Modi,” Sarma said. The BJP leader Ravinder Raina calls the government’s decision very daring. “This is a big decision. Pakistan creates bloodshed in Kashmir and then the water from here goes to Pakistan, it is not acceptable. Now Pakistanians will not get the Saarc visa. All Pakistanians who are in India should leave the country within 48 hours,” he added. Among other things, the CSS decided that the integrated check post Attari would be closed immediately. India will also withdraw its own defense, fleet and air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. “These posts in the various high commissions are considered void. Five support staff of the service advisors will also be withdrawn from both high commissions,” Foreign Minister Vikram Misri said during a media briefing. Earlier in the day, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that people involved in the cowardly terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam would get a ‘strong reaction’ in the ‘near future’. He also said that India will not only detect those who have done the attack, but also locate the people who conspired to perform the ominous act on Indian land while “sitting behind the scenes”. “From this platform, I assure the countrymen that the government of India, in the light of the incident, will take every step needed and appropriate,” he said.
