In the official statement, the accused was identified as Khurshid Ahmed Bhat (Patwari), Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Abdul Rashid Parre and Sajid Rashid Parre. The case is registered on the basis of a written complaint. The complainant claimed that the accused, led by Patwari Khurshid Ahmed Bhat, described the accused as the land owner and signed an agreement to sell seven channels and two Marla countries in Mauja Nunar, Ganderbal. The spokesman said the country was falsely described by the accused, while it was a migrant Kashmiri Pandit and was under the power of the lawyer near a third party. The complainant said that before the fraud was discovered, he paid Rs 1.19 crore out of a total of Rs 2.76 crore. Initial investigation revealed false documents, pseudo-pseudo-related criminal conspiracy, provisional visible offenses are established in terms of section 420, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
