Four multi -track projects approved in Indian Railways

New -Delhi, April 4 (IANS). The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Premier Narendra Modi has approved four projects from the Railways Ministry, which is a total cost of Rs 18,658 crore (approximately). These four projects covering 15 districts of Maharashtra, Odisha and Chhattisgarh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by approximately 1247 km. These projects include Sambalpur-Zarapada-third and fourth rules, Jharsuguda-Sason Third and Fourth Lines, Kharsia-Naya Raipur-PerMalkasa 5th and 6th line and Gondia-Baleharshah-doubling. This added line capacity will improve mobility, which will provide better efficiency and credibility for Indian Railways. These multi-track proposals will facilitate operations and reduce congestion, which will lead to the necessary infrastructure development on the busiest parts of the Indian Railways. These projects are in line with the vision of Premier Narendra Modi’s new India. These projects will make people self -sufficient through widespread development in the region, which will increase their employment/independence jobs. These projects are the results of the PM-Matti Shakti National Master Plan for Multimodel Connection, which was possible through an integrated scheme and uninterrupted connection for people’s movement and goods and services. With these projects, 19 new stations will be built, which will increase the connection in two aspiring districts (Gadchiroli and Rajnandgaon). The multi-tracking project will increase the connection of about 3350 towns and about 47.25 lakh population. New areas such as Baloda Bazaar of Kharsia-Nayi Raipur-Paraklsa Road will provide direct connectivity, which will create possibilities to set up new industrial units, including cement plants in the region. These are the necessary routes for the transport of agricultural products, fertilizers, coal, iron ore, steel, cement, limestone, etc. Due to capacity enlargement functions, 88.77 million tonnes of goods per year will be exported. As the environmentally friendly and energy -effective transport means, the railways will help achieve climate goals and reduce the country’s logistical costs, lower oil imports (95 million liters) and reduce CO2 outlook (477 million kg), which is equivalent to planting 19 million trees. -Ians PSK/GKT shares this story tags
