Five people arrested in Ahmedabad called themselves WAQF trustees, arrested five people

Ahmedabad, April 21 (IANS). Ahmedabad police, who have done a great action, arrested five such persons who charged lakhs rupees with very important religious and trust property in Jamalpur area and called themselves Waqf Councilors. Bharat Rathore, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), confirmed the case, saying that an investigation had been started by registering a case against the accused at the Gaikwad Haveli police station. According to police, the accused charged themselves with the ordinary people and shop owners, while they called themselves a curator of the properties of the Kancha Ni Masjid (Glass Mosque) and Shah Bada Kasam Trust, while the Waqf Board was never appointed as trustee on behalf of the WAQF board. Investigation revealed that the Waqf Council handed the land to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for the construction of a school, but the structure was damaged after the disastrous earthquake in 2001. It is alleged that this accused in 2009 brought the said building and in one of the stores on the location, an accused. The remaining nine stores were hired. The police investigation also revealed that the story that was recovered was not deposited into the account of the Waqf Trust, and that no information was given to the municipal corporation. This entire transaction has been made for illegal personal benefits. Salim Khan Pathan Bhai, Mehboob Khan and other accused are also accused of also illegally charging the rent of about 15 residential properties. None of all these accused is a valid curator and does not have a legal document that proves their rights to the assets of the trust.
