Film is based on the beautiful relationship between father and daughter – ryan
Smita Srivastava, Mumbai. Choreographer -turned -director Remo D’Souza is in filmmakers who are very fond of dance -based films. His pre -film ABCD: Annie was a dance competition in Buddy Can Dance. This sequence continued in its sequel ABCD 2 and he swung the audience a lot. Then the street dancer brought 3D which failed to shock the audience. Now through B Happy, once again, the father’s daughter has brought the emotional story of the daughter in the background of Remo Dance, which has dance but does not dance. The title also does not match the story.
What is the story of the film?
The story is of Shiva Rastogi (Abhishek Bachchan), his daughter Dhara (Inayat Verma), who lives in Ooty. Shiva working in the bank also lives with his father -in -law Nadar (Nasar). Dhara’s mother Rohini (Harleen Sethi) died in a road accident eight years ago. Dhara’s dream is to perform in the country’s most prestigious dance reality show. On winning the dance competition in the school, the Dance Teacher Maggi (Nora Fatehi) asks to come to Mumbai to train him. After the initial refusal, Shiva takes the transfer to Mumbai with a stream.
Has supports the daughter’s dream to fulfill. She also reaches the finale of the reality show. Then it is revealed that he has bone cancer. Will his dream of performing in finale remain incomplete or will Shiva make this dream a reality? The story is in this regard. Remo returns after five years
The weak link of this story written and directed Remo D’Souza is that there is no newness in it. The story of the film progresses in a very flat manner. There is no newness of a father to refuse his child’s stubbornness in the beginning. Shiva sees dance as a hobby and not as a career. But the reason behind him is not clear. Demo D’Souza, who returned to direction after about five years, is the best choreographer himself. He has been a judge of several reality shows, where he has seen many great performances. Here the dance reality show is an important part of the story, so many dance performances also become a part of the story, but it has not become so spectacular that your feet began to tremble.
Where did the director miss
He has missed the act of reality shows in the film in a brilliant way. Why doesn’t anyone friends with a stream when coming to Mumbai? Remo will be able to tell the reason for that. In the same way, while participating in the selection process in the reality show, it looks nervous, then everything seems easily happening. The film does not talk about what is the attachment of the mother’s mother to dance. Nasar is the only character in the film who speaks Tamil. The rest of the characters also seem a bit strange in the flat Hindi.
Abhishek Bachchan is praised
Abhishek is giving preference to the characters matching his age these days. Recently, Abhishek appeared in the role of a daughter’s father in the film I Want to Tak. Now B is in the role of father once again in Happy. There are many layers in his character here. From a strict father to a stream’s dance partner or explaining in the language of backing to maintain his morale, he suits his role. The film’s attraction is Inayat Verma.
Many characters were forced
Be it dance performance or emotional scene, she appears to be living her role with vigor. Both have previously worked together in the film Ludo. In the role of Maggi, Nora Fatehi has got a chance to show dance but the lack of expressions on the face is clearly visible. Nasar is remembered in the role of Nana. The character of Jani Liver is half -baked. He seems unnecessarily stunned.
The film has a dialogue that not winning or defeat in the final matters. Remo, who has made three dance -based films, now needs to perform something new in a dance -based film, like this dialogue.
