CDPO punished in bribery
On Tuesday, a special court in Patna sentenced the then Child Development Project (CDPO) official to four years strict imprisonment in a bribery case and also imposed a fine of R 20,000. After hearing the case, special monitoring judge Mohammad Rustom Savita Kumari, the then Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Guraru Block in the Gaya district, convicted of various divisions of the Corruption Act. If the fine amount is not paid, the criminal will have to stay in an extra jail for one month. Special Public Prosecutor Vijay Bhanu Alias Puttu Babu said the supervisors arrested the CDPO on April 22, 2017, arresting a bribe of Rs 30,000 instead of recommending a bribe of Rs 30,000 instead of recommending the service of a women’s right of the Coach Block Office of the Gaya district. He said the accused CDPO was the CDPO of Guraru block in the Gaya district and also handled an extra charge of Konch Block. To prove the allegations in the case, the prosecution recorded the statements of ten witnesses in court. The Special Court found him guilty of the PC Act in terms of sections 7 and 13 (1) (d) and sentenced him to the above. Share this story -tags
