Government of Jharkhand Strict Rules, will benefit these women

The beneficiaries of the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Maiya Samman Yojana (JMMSSE) who did not connect their bank accounts to Aadhaar will continue to help until March 31. In the state cabinet meeting chaired by Hemant Semant Soren, the deadline was extended from December 31 to March 31. After March, however, people with bank accounts without Aadhaar will not benefit. To take advantage of the scheme, the beneficiaries must ensure that their base is linked to their bank account. Cabinet secretary Vandana Date said: “The Cabinet has approved partial amendment in the implementation of Maiya Samman Yojana. After this amendment, female applicants who do not have some bank accounts will receive financial assistance after March. Under the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, the state government offers Rs 2,500 per month to women between the ages of 18 to 50 years. However, many beneficiaries have been deprived since January because they did not link their bank accounts to Aadhaar. In August this year, Hemant Soren, chief minister of Jharkhand, launched the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, and among the scheme 1,000 rupees are given to women between 21 and 50 years of families living under the poverty boundary. Under this scheme, payment is made directly in their bank accounts by the 15th of each month. From December 2024, this amount was increased from Rs 1 000 to Rs 2.500. What other proposals were approved at the Cabinet meeting? The Jharkhand Cabinet approved 16 proposals, including Jharkhand micro-, small and medium unit (MSME) Special Release Bill, 2025. To ensure the necessary education to children with different types of disability, the Cabinet approved the creation of 3,451 posts from a total of 50,000 sanctions of interim assistant and degree Assistant teachers in elementary school.
