Another official gave information about this, saying that after Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, Leopards, will be released in Banni Graslands of the Kutch district of Gujarat and then in the Shahgarh Bulj area of ​​the Jaisalmer -District Rajasthan. The ‘Project Cheetah’ began in 2022 70 years after the eradication of Cheetahs in India, the central government launched the ‘Project Cheetah’ in September 2022 to bring out Cheetahs in the country. As part of the efforts to repair the cheetahs, 20 African cheetahs were brought to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Of these, eight leopards were brought from Namibia in September 2022 and 12 leopards from South Africa in February 2023. So far, 26 Cheetah Cubs was born. According to official data, 26 Cheetah Cubs has since been born in India, of which 19 survived. 11 Cubs were released into the forest, while the remaining cubs are placed in the covers in the Kuno National Park.
