Changes in the 1977 regulations were still under Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Holiday) rules-1977 in Madhya Pradesh. This rule applied for more than four decades, allowing the employees to have the benefit of leave such as the central government. The Cabinet has changed this rule to make it on time. Employees will benefit directly, about 7.5 Lakh employees of the state will benefit from the implementation of new rules. Now they get the same categories and facilities of holidays, which give the central government to its employees. There was a long demand from the employee organizations of Madhya Pradesh, the entire Madhya Pradesh employee organizations demanded that the holiday rules be made according to the central government.
