Emergency landing of Haley ambulance in Kedarnath, three people have now survived

‘Sanjeevani’ Haley Ambulance, run by Aiims, Rishikesh, made an emergency landing in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, on Saturday (May 17, 2025), an official said. Rahul Choubey, District Tourism Development Officer, said two doctors and a pilot aboard the helicopter were safe. Sanjeevani Haley Ambulance went to Kedarnath to save a pilgrim who was breathing, when her tail rotor caused a technical error, causing the pilot to make an emergency landing, Mr. Choubey, who is also the nodal officer of Haley Service, said. He said that the Heli ambulance star trot broke when his emergency landing made on a flat surface near the helicopter. Choubey said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) would investigate the incident. Heli ambulance comes from Aiims Rishikesh to Kedarnath to save a patient SRI Devi. The helicopter caused some technical error before he ended up on Kedarnath’s main Helipad. After being detected in time, the pilot thought it better to land on the flat surface just in front of the helicopter. However, the helicopter’s star trot broke during the landing.
