About 50 people were killed due to lightning and hailstorm in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh
News agency Pti said at least 47 people died in lightning and rain -related incidents in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. According to a statement issued by Bihar’s Chief Minister (CMO), 18 people died in Nalanda, followed by two in Siwan, one person each in Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Bhagalpur and Jehanabad. Wednesday, 13 people died due to lightning in four districts of Bihar. Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar mourned death and announced a grace of Rs 4-4 Lakh to the families of the deceased.
