Do not depend on radiation only to diagnose pancreatic diseases – ryan
Dr. Abdullah Al -Thiabi, a consultant of digestive diseases, warned of the danger of ignoring the advanced tests of the pancreas, stressing that some cases require more accurate measures than traditional rays such as CT scans or magnetic resonance.
Al -Thiabi responded through his official account on the “X” platform, that there are cases in which regular rays do not show sufficient details, which calls for resorting to EUS audiooscopy, a procedure that allows the pancreas to be examined closely and take samples for careful examination.
The doctor looked at a patient in Canada, who was recently underwent this type of endoscope, so that doctors discover indications of the possibility of pancreatic cancer, noting that the patient was smoking for more than 30 years, which enhances the risk of infection.
He also added: “The complications of smoking may only appear after decades, and this is what makes follow -up and early examination necessary, especially for those who have a long history with smoking.”
