SBK Singh is currently the Director General of Home Guards. New -delhi. Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer SBK Singh took over as Delhi police on Thursday. Singh, an IPS officer of 1988 from Agmut Cadre, replaced Sanjay Arora. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, Singh received extra charge from the police chief. He took the lead after the salute guard was given at the police headquarters. According to the order issued by the ministry, SBK Singh, who is currently working as director general of Delhi home guards, becomes the additional charge of the post of Delhi Police Commissioner until further orders from 1 August 2025. This appointment was made after the approval of the competent authority. In the order, it was further told that a copy of this was sent to the officials concerned, including the general secretary of Delhi, the police commissioner of Delhi, general secretary of Lieutenant -Governor. The Interior Ministry has also aimed at uploading this order on its website. According to the information, SBK Singh is currently working as Director General of Delhi Home Guards and is known for his comprehensive policing and internal safety experiences. This appointment was made under the administrative reform after the current commissioner Sanjay Arora was over.
