New -delhi: In the midst of rising temperatures in the capital, Delhi’s demand for electricity affected 5.462 MW on Wednesday afternoon, the highest so far this summer. The question rose from Tuesday’s highlight requirement of 5.029 MW, and much higher than the demand for the capital’s demand for 4.321 MW electricity on April 9 last year, data from the state’s cargo shipping center, Delhi, showed. Bses said the demand for electricity in South Delhi and Western Delhi, provided by Bsess Rajdhani Power, is expected to reach about 4,050 MW this summer. In East Delhi and Central -Delhi, served by Bses Yamuna Power, the peak power question is expected to affect 1,900 MW. Power Partnerships “Bses -Diskome is ready to ensure reliable power supply to meet the power question of more than 50 Lakh consumers and 2 residents of the crore in South, West, Eastern and Central Delhi,” the company said in its statement. “These arrangements include long-term PPAs (power purchase agreements) and bank arrangements with other states and the deployment of latest technologies such as AI and ML for predicting power demand, critical to ensure reliable power supply,” he added. Bses also said it made power bank arrangements with several states to ensure up to 500 MW of electricity during the summer. According to Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd, which provides in North Delhi, the company has made arrangements, including long-term partnerships and strategic deployment of battery energy storage systems in Delhi’s Rohini area, which allows to maintain reliable offer amid rising temperatures.
