Delhi meeting became pepperless, inaugurated e-Vidhan Sabha by the Minister of Union Kiren Rijiju
New -Delhi, June 14 (IANS). The Delhi meeting is now completely paperless. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, formally launched the e-Vidhan Sabha system in the meeting building on Saturday. Delhi Chief Minister Velha Gupta, the speaker of the meeting Vijendra Gupta, Deputy Chairman Mohan Singh Bish and the Minister of Environmental Affairs, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, was also present at the event. The Union Minister said: “The laying of the groundstone of the e-legislative project in the Delhi meeting is a commendable step towards the adoption of technology for legislative efficiency and transparency.” He said: “Now I can say that Delhi has the kind of responsible government. With the approval of nine crore calls, the e-legislative system is implemented within 108 days.” He said: “The event is an important milestone in digitizing legislative rule. Although many states have already implemented the e-legislative system, it is encouraging to see Delhi join this important national initiative. I am pleased to be part of this progressive development. I would like to see the Delhi meeting as an ideal meeting.” Vijendra Gupta, speaker of the program meeting, said: “This initiative is a big step towards Premier Narendra Modi’s Digital India campaign on the ground.” He informed that the Delhi meeting is now linked to the National E-Vidhan Sabha Portal and that the upcoming monsoon session will be presented completely by digital medium. It is noteworthy that the proceedings of the meeting, question-answer, notice, documents and other important works will now only be available on the digital platform. Not only will it store paper, but the functioning will also become more transparent and easy. A budget of nine crore calls was assigned to the Delhi Lawyer Assembly for this initiative by the central government.
