The Delhi High Court has launched a comprehensive action plan to reduce pending cases. Cases pending for 10 20 and 30 years will take precedence under this scheme. Alternative dispute solution methods will also be implemented. This scheme will apply in three phases. Jagran Correspondent, New -Delhi: The Delhi High Court will implement a comprehensive and integrated action plan to reduce the number of pending matters you submit for a few decades. The Delhi High Court made this announcement in the order of a model scheme drafted by the Supreme Court committee, led by Justice Abhay’s Oka for a model scheme prepared for all Supreme Court and trial courts. The committee expressed concern about the increase in the number of pending cases submitted a few decades ago. On the lines of the model scheme, Delhi High Cart has developed a comprehensive and integrated three -phases action plan to reduce pending cases. Matters pending for 10, 20 or 30 years will receive priority on the website through the Supreme Court, and the cases pending for 10, 20 or 30 years will take precedence and matters will be distributed objectively to different banks. Case hearing will also be held to ensure that rapid progress of policies and strategies is also made to eliminate fruitless matters. The Supreme Court said that alternative dispute resolution methods would be implemented and that regular reports would also be prepared to monitor the progress of these cases. Proposals will also be sought from the Barie Association to reduce the procedural delay. First phase: The data unit will be formed as a command center, a list of targeted cases will be drawn up in the first phase from March to June 2025 and placed before the chief justice for distribution to different banks. According to Netis, the time will be instituted every Thursday after the approval of the Chief Justice for the hearing and disposal of targeted cases. Apart from this, a data count will be formed as an assignment center for accurate data management, data integration and data solution. Second phase: 20 -year -old matters will be dealt with by June 2026, in the second phase of July 2025 to June 2026, judges will try to settle the pending cases for more than 20 years. The target cases will be heard according to the fixed dates in the case flow management sheet and no adjournment will be given on the fixed dates. A quarterly report on the training will be placed in front of the Chief Justice for overall monitoring and hold a quarterly meeting with the chairman of the Chief Justice Case Flow Management Committee. Third Phase: The 10 -year -old case will be settled by May 2027, finally in the third phase of June 2026 to May 2027, the court will try to make cases more than ten years old.
