Hero Taufiq of 26/11 condemns 'Biryani treatment' for terrorists, insists on not making VIP -cell
Mohammad Taufiq, commonly known as Chhotu Chai Wala, helped save people’s lives during the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, responded strongly to the Indian extradition of Tehwavur Rana. Taufiq said with Ani that there is no need to provide luxury facilities to Rana. He allegedly quoted special facilities to terrorists AJMAL KASAB, including safe cells and priorities for food and beverages. Taufiq insisted: “It is not necessary to provide any special facility such as Sail, Biryani or Kasab. There must be a separate law for terrorists- a law that ensures that they are hung within two to three months.” The Supreme Court cleared the way for extradition. On April 7, the US Supreme Court rejected Rana’s emergency petition to prevent extradition in India. The Pakistani-Canadian Burger approached Chief Justice John Roberts on March 20 and demanded an immediate ban on the move. The court rejected his application and paved the way for his return to the hearing. Rana is facing India and is accused of assisting Lashkar-E-Taiba (note), which is a terror group responsible for 26/11 attacks in which more than 170 people were killed and hundreds injured. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case against it in a conspiracy case associated with the attacks. While the extradition process continues, officials say that Mumbai police have not yet received a formal update on whether Rana will be questioned or prosecuted at the local level. The strict terrorism law claimed during the attacks, Taufiq, as a local hero for his quick thinking, called for the establishment of a rapid legal system to deal with the case of terrorism. He said: “We need a separate terrorist system – not fast justice, not a privilege.” The extradition of Tahwwur Rana is carefully seen as an important step in the discovery of India for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
