In light of the growing crowd and a limited place in the church, the second Methodist church was built in 1868 near Tallital Stain, now known as Bishop Shaw School. It became the second Methodist Church of Nainital. After independence, the abandoned Professor Rawat said that India became independent on August 15, 1947, and that many Methodist followers who live in India returned to America, England and Australia, after which the number of followers of the Mathewist religion in Nainital began to decline.
