CTET July Session 2025 Notification Update: There is big news for the candidates preparing for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may soon issue a notification of CTET July 2025 session. According to media reports, CTET July session is expected to be released in the first or second week of April 2025. As soon as the notification is released, the candidates will be able to check the application date, exam schedule and other necessary details.

When will the applications start?
Last year, CBSE accepted applications for CTET July session from 7 March to 5 April 2024. On this basis, it is being estimated that this year also the application process can start in the first or second week of March. However, the candidates waiting for the correct date should keep an eye on CBSE’s official website ctet.nic.in regularly.

When will CTET exam be done?
CBSE conducts CTET exam every year in two sessions – July and December. CTET 2025 July session examination is expected to be held in June or July 2025. The correct dates of the examination will be confirmed as soon as the notification is released.

Marx required to pass CTET
To qualify the CTET exam, candidates are required to get a minimum cutoff score.
General category candidates will have to secure at least 60% marks (90/150).
OBC, SC and ST category candidates will have to secure a minimum of 55% marks (82/150).

CTET score card validity
After passing the CTET exam, a score card is issued to the candidates, whose validity is lifetime. This means that if you qualify CTET once, then your certificate will remain lifetime valid.

Eligibility and Qualification for CTET 2025
CTET exam is conducted as two papers:
Paper 1 (to teach class 1 to 5): 2 -year -old D.El.Ed with 50% marks in 12th to candidate with 50% marks in 12th standard. (Diploma in Elementary Education) or equivalent course is necessary.
Paper 2 (to teach class 6 to 8): The candidate must have a graduate (BA, B.Sc, B.com) to pass D.El.Ed or B.ED.

Age limit for CTET 2025
The minimum age of candidates should be 18 years to appear in the CTET exam. Whereas, there is no limit for maximum age for this.
Candidates wishing to appear in the CTET exam are advised to keep checking updates on the official website of CBSE and complete the application process as soon as the notification is issued.
