L2 Empuran Kerala High Court Rejects BJP Leaders Please Disciplinary Action | Mohanlal's L2: Employees will not stop screening, Kerala High Court denied
L2 Employment: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday refused to stay the screening of the controversial film ‘Emapuran’. The court asked the petitioner if you have seen the film ‘Emoran’? What is your objection? It was certified by the censor board, isn’t it? I doubt your honesty. Due to this film, show me a complaint of inciting violence. This has been done for publicity. The court also drew attention to the argument of the state counsel that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has already approved the film for performance.
The court order stated that the state Attorney attracted attention to the decision of the Sabin Thomas vs India and others, saying that once the certification was issued by the authorities, it can be estimated that the film is correct. He also presented that till date, no crime has been registered by the state police. Keeping these in mind, the petitioner’s prayer is rejected for interim relief. The case will be heard after the Kerala High Court leave.
According to the petition, there are scenes in the film that refer to the 2002 Godhra riots and make improper comments about the Ministry of Defense, besides the central investigative agencies in such a way that hurts their credibility and honesty. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the film’s co-producer Antony Perumbavur said that the entire film team has decided to re-edit with 24 cuts and the revised version will be displayed from Wednesday.
