While digging wells, residents in Parungpanjang Bogor find mortar

Jakarta – An object in the form of mortar was found in Kabasiran Village, Parungpanjang, Bogor, West Java. The object was found by residents digging the pit. “An object allegedly in the form of mortar was found by residents who dig wells,” said the acting head of public relations of the Bogor police IPDA Yulista Saturday (5/24/2025). He said the discovery took place at about 10:30, one (24/5) morning. After finding the mortar, residents then reported it to the authorities. The authorities then carried out further treatment of the findings. “Parungpanjang sector police with the Koramil and Satpol PP came to the scene and secured the crime scene (crime scene) and handed the object to the Koramil for further handling,” he explained. Police have called on residents if they found similar objects to contact the local authorities. “If people find explosives or bullets that are still active not to take their own action, but should contact the local authorities,” he concluded.
